Meet Jeremy Nixon

Jeremy is an accomplished nonprofit leader, with political acumen. Before his foray into politics, Jeremy worked for over fifteen years in the non-profit sector with some of the most vulnerable members of society. From managing over 10,000+ volunteers at the Mustard Seed as the Manager for a decade, he then took those skills to help the Boys and Girls Club as a manager of their youth shelter.

Jeremy has years of experience in conservative politics and served as the Executive Director of the Wildrose Party from 2015-2017. Jeremy was elected in 2019 as the United Conservative Party MLA for Calgary Klein.

Jeremy’s experience in the non-profit sector, and working with the most vulnerable made him a natural fit as Minister of Seniors Community and Social Services. Some of his accomplishments include the first raise for disability sector workers in over 10 years, much needed investment in affordable housing and setting up stable funding for our provinces foodbanks.

It is because of this exceptional background that Jeremy was encouraged to run in Calgary Signal Hill. Jeremy’s background and experience is much needed in Ottawa. Jeremy has defended conservative principals for decades, but always worked hard to ensure the most vulnerable are not left behind.

Jeremy lives in Calgary with his four children and his wife.
